What is
plucking / abrasion?
The two mechanisms of glacial erosion: plucking rips loose chunks of bedrock frozen to the base of a moving glacier; abrasion is the grinding/scratching effect of rock debris embedded in glacial ice dragging against surrounding bedrock.
